Wings by Croske Resort

This is not the most beautiful hotel ever, and there are usually quite a few people around, including many kids. However. The location is increeedibly convenient. As in, you can literally walk there from the airport. If you are coming for a weekend trip, this means maximum time on the island and minimal time wasted. The pool area is nice, and if you are mainly looking for a convenient base to explore Langkawi, this works really well. That said, if you are planning to spend lots of time at the hotel itself, there are probably better options.
