Bintan
Singapore is generally amazing as a hub for quick trips, and one of our favorite easy weekend escapes is Bintan Island. If you are looking for beautiful white beaches and a place where you can truly relax and spend hours at the beach or in the sea, look no further. Getting there is super easy. Just take a ferry from the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal (close to the airport) and you will arrive in about an hour. Most hotels also offer pickups from the ferry terminal, which makes the whole trip very seamless.
Pro tip: In case you need one, you can get a visa on arrival but don’t forget to bring cash. Ideally Indonesian Rupiah, though they also accept SGD, but the conversion rate is not great.
