Dryft
Staying at Dryft on Darocotan Island is a very unique experience. We stayed in one of their super cute “Hive Huts”, which are positioned such that you basically wake up at the beach and can start your snorkeling directly from there. The food is really good, the white sand is beautiful, and the staff is very kind. They also offer activities like yoga and pilates classes with a stunning view. Just note that these are not included in the price, but definitely worth trying. You can also rent stand up paddles, which is a nice way to explore the area. And of course the coolest part: you are on a small island, meaning you can go into full explorer mode and just try to discover all the beautiful spots Darocotan has to offer.
However, there are a couple things to be aware of: Except for one (the Lux Tipi) the rooms do not have private bathrooms. There is no Wi-Fi or phone signal (if you’re lucky you can catch some signal on the other side of the island), there is no card payment (cash, Revolut or Wise is possible), and there are no stores nearby, so bring everything you might need.
Pro tip: Go snorkeling on the other side of Dryft, there is a shipwreck right off the coast that you can swim to in about 5 minutes
